Mark Levin: Democrats Are Pro-Open Borders Because It Helps Them in Their Redistricting Efforts

‘So you now have House members with such large, particularly in the cities and in the border areas, with such large populations of illegal aliens in their district that they become a major constituency and influence on the member’

EXCERPT:

LEVIN: “This issue of illegal aliens treated as persons only became an issue because of the mass influx of illegal immigrants over the last several decades, especially now under the Biden regime. Illegal aliens cannot vote, but including them in the census affects voting power. How so, Mark? Districts with more illegal aliens water down the voting power of the citizens that are in the district. Why? Because you are now assigning districts based on the population, not on the citizenry who can vote. So the actual citizenry that votes in the district, their vote is watered down. Why? Because illegal aliens are helping to create a district in which there is a representative who now has to represent who? Well ,not just the citizens that vote, but the illegal aliens. It undermines the principle of citizen equality. How? One person, one vote. Because citizens in districts with fewer illegal aliens have more influence. Now, so citizens and districts with fewer illegal aliens have more influence because citizens and districts with more illegal aliens have less. I’m the representative of district A. Let’s say one third of the people there are illegal aliens, two thirds are citizens. Okay. Now let’s say I’m the representative of district B. Let’s say three fourths of the district is citizens and one quarter of the district is illegal aliens. That district being with more citizens, citizens have more say and influence of that representative than the citizens in the next-door district, right, because there’s more illegal aliens and that representative also wants to represent the more illegal aliens. You are diluting the votes of certain citizens, depending on how many illegal aliens are in the district. So you now have House members with such large, particularly in the cities and in the border areas, with such large populations of illegal aliens in their district that they become a major constituency and influence on the member. That is is why these members more and more oppose enforcing immigration laws and support illegal immigration. And virtually all of them are Democrats.”
