Fernand Amandi on the Implications of the Bill: You’re Going to Start to See This Trumpian Orwellian Rhetoric Fall by the Wayside

‘He’s going to say it is the greatest thing in the history of the republic’

RUSH EXCERPT:
AMANDI: "Well, I mean, I think we’re making the mistake that has been made for, what, 12 years now? We’re trying to hold Trump accountable to his words and to things he says doesn’t matter, you know, and his diarrhea of the mouth. You know, life is invented moment by moment, second by second. Look, I think the real expectation for what this bill is and what we the one thing we’ve seen is kryptonite for Donald Trump is when events overtake his invented rhetoric of the moment. We saw that during the Covid pandemic, where as much as Trump wanted to say it was like a cold, it was going to pass, it was no big deal. You know, when hundreds of thousands of people started dying and there was the clear government mismanagement, that’s when people stepped up and realized, okay, this has gone too far. And I think until this bill and the implications of the bill and the provisions of the bill, and, you know, I think the hardest ones are going to hit 2 or 3 years. But I don’t think in the short-term, I do think in the short-term, we’re going to start to see some elements. That’s when I think you’re going to start to see this trumpian orwellian rhetoric fall by the wayside, Chris. But until then, he’s going to say it is the greatest thing in the history of the republic, just like he’s the greatest president in the history of the republic. That’s the trumpian way."
