John Kirby: If Israel Doesn’t Change Their Approach, There Will Have To Be Changes in Our Own Policy
EXCERPT:
KIRBY: "And that was a major point by President Biden yesterday in his call with Prime Minister Netanyahu, that how they’re prosecuting this war, how they are conducting these operations absolutely matters. They have got to be more precise. They have got to be more careful. The president said too many civilians are being killed. And now with humanitarian aid workers coming under fire, you have a real risk not only to their lives and of course their mission, but to other aid organizations making decisions about whether they will continue to support the people of Gaza. We can’t allow that to happen. So, it was a very frank discussion, but the president was very clear that if we don’t see meaningful changes in the policy approaches by the Israeli government, there will have to be meaningful changes in our own policy approach to Gaza."
