MCQUADE: "I think that we are at a moment in politics, and in technology that has created sort of a perfect storm. Technology of course enables social media. And so, what once might have taken weeks or months to reach an audience can now be sent in an instant. So false information, influence campaigns, and other kinds of things can reach people like never before. But I think the other thing that we are seeing at this moment, is this extremely polarized political climate. And I think it is driven by those who want to sow division in our society to get political gain, to suggest to us that there is only two sides to every issue."
