NewsNation: Dept. Of Energy Luggage Thief Sam Brinton Has Officially Lost His Job
EXCERPT:
ABRAMS: "Breaking news. It seems the Biden Administration has finally fired Sam Brinton, the senior Energy Department official who was charged last month with felony theft for allegedly stealing someone else's checked luggage from Minneapolis airport and last week was accused by police in Vegas of doing the same thing in that city back in July. Brinton, who was the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition, took a leave of absence in late September shortly after the Minneapolis incident occurred, but administration officials had refused to say whether Brinton was still getting paid. Just this afternoon, Brinton's profile remained prominently displayed on the Department of Energy’s website. It seemed like it we just removed in the last hour or two. It seems astonishing that it took this long for a government official who stood accused by the same government in not one but two felony criminal cases to lose their job. Why hadn’t the White House come out more forcefully before?”
