Kurtz: NYT Editorial Linking Palin to Giffords Shooting Was ‘Reprehensible, Mean-Spirited’
‘She has every right to be furious, she has every right to to sue but it’s going hard for her to win’
EXCERPT:
KURTZ: "That editorial was reprehensible, it was mean-spirited, flat out wrong and utterly tone deaf coming the same day that Steve Scalise was nearly killed and four other people wounded at that shooting at the baseball field across the river here in Virginia. And to accuse Sarah Palin of incitement over this incident six years ago, this tragedy six years ago, ignores the fact the gunman was mentally ill. No evidence he saw the political map which didn’t have a picture of Gabby Giffords. She has every right to be furious, she has every right to sue, but it’s going to be hard for her to win."
