Biography
Adam Sexton joined WMUR in November 2007.
Prior to putting down roots in the Granite State, Adam worked at television stations in Oregon and California, where his reporting was recognized with multiple awards from the Associated Press and the Society of Professional Journalists.
In 2007, Adam garnered an Emmy nomination for a series of reports on “Dragon Skin” — a body armor system at the center of a national controversy over protecting American troops.
Adam graduated from Syracuse University with degrees in Broadcast Journalism, History, and Political Science. He was honored as a University Scholar, the most prestigious academic distinction given to undergraduates at Syracuse.
In 2003, Adam earned a William Randolph Hearst Award and recognition as one of the five best collegiate television reporters in America. He’s now happy to be back in the Hearst “family” and working in New Hampshire.
Adam was named Political Director in 2018 but joined the WMUR political team in 2015.
Adam lives in Concord with his wife, Amanda, and their three kids.
