Biography
At age 23, Paula was the youngest PM Magazine co-host in the country.
Paula went on to host 5PMLive, which later transitioned into the show bearing her name. Paula Sands Live debuted August 31, 1993.
As a member of our award-winning TV6 news team, Paula co-anchors our 6:00 newscasts. In 2015, she received a regional Emmy and was inducted into the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Silver Circle.
Personally, she and her husband met at WQUA Radio where David was production manager and Paula wrote and voiced commercials. They’ve been married since 1984, sharing two daughters and five granddaughters.
They love to travel; especially enjoying Arizona. Paula and David have hosted more than a dozen Holiday Vacation tours for the station.
After 40 years, Paula says she’s still inspired and excited to be doing her “dream job” in her hometown!
