Beto O’Rourke in Iowa: Now We Are All Americans and All Human Beings

O ROURKE Thank you ░░░░░░░░ being with us and ░░░░░░░░ me to your community ░░░░░░░░ is the first stop ░░░░░░░░ our campaign to be ░░░░░░░░ of the United States ░░░░░░░░ America Cheering and Applause ░░░░░░░░ it is a huge ░░░░░░░░ honor to be here ░░░░░░░░ you I just got ░░░░░░░░ call from my wife ░░░░░░░░ she s back in ░░░░░░░░ Paso Texas where she ░░░░░░░░ raising sometimes with my ░░░░░░░░ Ulysses who is 12 ░░░░░░░░ old Molly who is ░░░░░░░░ and their little brother ░░░░░░░░ who is 8 years ░░░░░░░░ And she s getting ░░░░░░░░ ready feeding them and ░░░░░░░░ taking them to school ░░░░░░░░ even though this is ░░░░░░░░ first day miss them ░░░░░░░░ But I ll tell ░░░░░░░░ this it s those ░░░░░░░░ and it s your ░░░░░░░░ and it s your ░░░░░░░░ and the generations that ░░░░░░░░ that push us out ░░░░░░░░ the country to do ░░░░░░░░ incredibly important work together ░░░░░░░░ challenges before us I ░░░░░░░░ you agree have never ░░░░░░░░ greater the greatest of ░░░░░░░░ lifetimes If you look ░░░░░░░░ the crises in our ░░░░░░░░ where the power has ░░░░░░░░ concentrated into the hands ░░░░░░░░ the privileged the few ░░░░░░░░ the corporations If you ░░░░░░░░ at the democracy which ░░░░░░░░ very well be a ░░░░░░░░ soon enough in name ░░░░░░░░ unless we get it ░░░░░░░░ and make sure it ░░░░░░░░ people and not special ░░░░░░░░ and corporations And if ░░░░░░░░ look at the climate ░░░░░░░░ if in this 10 ░░░░░░░░ window we do not ░░░░░░░░ everything we possibly humanly ░░░░░░░░ the generation that follow ░░░░░░░░ and I mean our ░░░░░░░░ in our kids lifetimes ░░░░░░░░ the time Ulysses is ░░░░░░░░ age and he is ░░░░░░░░ years old right now ░░░░░░░░ may not be able ░░░░░░░░ live in some of ░░░░░░░░ cities that we call ░░░░░░░░ today like El Paso ░░░░░░░░ We may not be ░░░░░░░░ to grow our own ░░░░░░░░ and our own fiber ░░░░░░░░ and clothe ourselves in ░░░░░░░░ this country And if ░░░░░░░░ think a little more ░░░░░░░░ 300 000 immigrants and ░░░░░░░░ seekers apprehended on the ░░░░░░░░ border is a problem ░░░░░░░░ I don t necessarily ░░░░░░░░ that it is The ░░░░░░░░ of migration and refugee ░░░░░░░░ that we will see ░░░░░░░░ entire bands of this ░░░░░░░░ are no longer habitable ░░░░░░░░ be a crisis of ░░░░░░░░ different magnitude altogether But ░░░░░░░░ challenges I am absolutely ░░░░░░░░ will bring out the ░░░░░░░░ best in every single ░░░░░░░░ of us And we ░░░░░░░░ something that almost no ░░░░░░░░ country in the world ░░░░░░░░ we have the single ░░░░░░░░ mechanism to call forth ░░░░░░░░ genius of our fellow ░░░░░░░░ beings This democracy more ░░░░░░░░ 320 million people strong ░░░░░░░░ bring the ingenuity the ░░░░░░░░ the resolve of an ░░░░░░░░ country And each one ░░░░░░░░ these challenges can and ░░░░░░░░ be met But the ░░░░░░░░ challenge to get this ░░░░░░░░ is to fix our ░░░░░░░░ Only when it works ░░░░░░░░ only when each of ░░░░░░░░ can work within it ░░░░░░░░ we be able to ░░░░░░░░ these threats And so ░░░░░░░░ setting right now the ░░░░░░░░ first event of our ░░░░░░░░ for president is an ░░░░░░░░ not only of the ░░░░░░░░ that I wish to ░░░░░░░░ across this country for ░░░░░░░░ single American and I ░░░░░░░░ care less your party ░░░░░░░░ your religion anything other ░░░░░░░░ the fact that right ░░░░░░░░ we are all Americans ░░░░░░░░ we are all human ░░░░░░░░ And we do everything ░░░░░░░░ our power for one ░░░░░░░░ for this great country ░░░░░░░░ for every generation that ░░░░░░░░ Cheering and Applause)
