BRZEZINSKI But first we ░░░░░░░░ joined by Democratic Congressman ░░░░░░░░ Clyburn of South Carolina ░░░░░░░░ is national co chair ░░░░░░░░ the Biden campaign Congressman ░░░░░░░░ thank you so much ░░░░░░░░ being on this morning ░░░░░░░░ m just curious let ░░░░░░░░ let s let s ░░░░░░░░ in chronological order here ░░░░░░░░ was your reaction to ░░░░░░░░ Biden s debate Your ░░░░░░░░ thoughts in your gut ░░░░░░░░ Well thank you very ░░░░░░░░ for having me Mika ░░░░░░░░ as I ve watched ░░░░░░░░ debate alone in my ░░░░░░░░ I decided not to ░░░░░░░░ to you know watch ░░░░░░░░ I felt from the ░░░░░░░░ beginning that Joe Biden ░░░░░░░░ going to have a ░░░░░░░░ night Because I thought ░░░░░░░░ was preparation overload I ░░░░░░░░ saw it I ve ░░░░░░░░ around these debates for ░░░░░░░░ long time I have ░░░░░░░░ a part of the ░░░░░░░░ prep in a couple ░░░░░░░░ instances I consider Joe ░░░░░░░░ was trying not to ░░░░░░░░ from the preparation And ░░░░░░░░ was grappling for numbers ░░░░░░░░ for platform positions rather ░░░░░░░░ reacting to the question ░░░░░░░░ from his own personal ░░░░░░░░ personal experiences And I ░░░░░░░░ that you always do ░░░░░░░░ better on television when ░░░░░░░░ can feel your response ░░░░░░░░ well as hear BRZEZINSKI ░░░░░░░░ since the debate you ░░░░░░░░ actually been on the ░░░░░░░░ trail spending the day ░░░░░░░░ in Madison Wisconsin I ░░░░░░░░ you might still be ░░░░░░░░ now What are you ░░░░░░░░ from people Clyburn Yeah ░░░░░░░░ Were they concerned about ░░░░░░░░ debate Are you hearing ░░░░░░░░ lot of questions about ░░░░░░░░ debate Clyburn Yes I ░░░░░░░░ I m here in ░░░░░░░░ I was here in ░░░░░░░░ last night Madison yesterday ░░░░░░░░ night before I was ░░░░░░░░ in Georgia And everywhere ░░░░░░░░ go grassroots people are ░░░░░░░░ into this effort I ░░░░░░░░ I saw and numbers ░░░░░░░░ that pretty close to ░░░░░░░░ 3 million were raised ░░░░░░░░ after the debate two ░░░░░░░░ of it coming from ░░░░░░░░ people I talked to ░░░░░░░░ who told me they ░░░░░░░░ going online to give ░░░░░░░░ 5 or 10 or ░░░░░░░░ These are not big ░░░░░░░░ But these are big ░░░░░░░░ and they are close ░░░░░░░░ the ground They are ░░░░░░░░ tune with this president ░░░░░░░░ what he is trying ░░░░░░░░ do to keep this ░░░░░░░░ moving toward perfection That ░░░░░░░░ what we re all ░░░░░░░░ To create a more ░░░░░░░░ Mm hmm Clyburn perfect ░░░░░░░░ We re not a ░░░░░░░░ country But we ought ░░░░░░░░ always be in pursuit ░░░░░░░░ perfection And that s ░░░░░░░░ the grassroots people want ░░░░░░░░ see And they see ░░░░░░░░ in Joe Biden and ░░░░░░░░ see just the opposite ░░░░░░░░ Donald Trump always trying ░░░░░░░░ divide people in one ░░░░░░░░ or another creating chaos ░░░░░░░░ that he can look ░░░░░░░░ a problem solver but ░░░░░░░░ he is doing is ░░░░░░░░ the fabric that has ░░░░░░░░ this country together all ░░░░░░░░ these years and not ░░░░░░░░ in my favor I ░░░░░░░░ when my parents first ░░░░░░░░ in South Carolina because ░░░░░░░░ the white only Democratic ░░░░░░░░ And I ve been ░░░░░░░░ to to young people ░░░░░░░░ experiences tend to temper ░░░░░░░░ you deal with politics ░░░░░░░░ so we just cannot ░░░░░░░░ an all or nothing ░░░░░░░░ All of us must ░░░░░░░░ in to save this ░░░░░░░░ And I think that ░░░░░░░░ what the grassroots people ░░░░░░░░ doing And they are ░░░░░░░░ the big donors not ░░░░░░░░ walk away from this ░░░░░░░░ They are asking the ░░░░░░░░ the beltway people to ░░░░░░░░ them in line when ░░░░░░░░ make their decisions And ░░░░░░░░ are in line with ░░░░░░░░ Biden And I think ░░░░░░░░ should stay in this ░░░░░░░░ And all of us ░░░░░░░░ just come together and ░░░░░░░░ him re-elected.”
